Palace in Somerset Park to be renovated for  million

For two decades, the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset has hosted special events from weddings and galas to community events and corporate outings. Now, a $10 million renovation will ensure the popular venue remains a special place for years to come.

The entire venue, including the East and West Houses, is being renovated by Iron Hill Construction Management, which built the facility in 2004, according to a press release.

The space for the cocktail hour will be expanded and new outdoor pavilions will connect the cocktail bar with the outdoor areas of the restaurant.

The East House and East Grand Foyer will receive new carpets, wall coverings, woodwork and lighting.

The East Ballroom will be fitted with modern chandeliers, while the East Library will become a trendy cocktail venue with an elegant bar and contemporary art.

Recording Suites, Whisky Lounge: In the new Grand Summit Hotel

The West House features opulent furnishings, new carpets and chandeliers and the West Library is transformed into another modern yet elegant bar.

Additionally, a new groom’s suite will be built in the West House with amenities including a pool table.
