Perry Food Pantry hosts over 100 people for Perry funds

The 100+ People for Perry Q3 2024 meeting was held on Monday, August 26th at the Hotel Pattee.

Members supported the Perry Food Pantry project with a donation of $6,000 to purchase goods.

The Perry Food Pantry, also known as the Perry Emergency Food Council, is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide food assistance to those in immediate need in and around the Perry community. The Perry Food Pantry also recently received the Hispanics United for Perry Citizenship Award for their service to the community during this year’s event. Long live Perry! Latino Festival.

Community members are welcome to donate to the Perry Food Pantry. Checks can be mailed to The Hotel Pattee within 30 days of the meeting. Mail: 100+ People for Perry c/o The Hotel Pattee, 1112 Willis Avenue, Perry, IA 50220.

In its ninth year (35 meetings), the group has pledged $239,900 to 34 local community service projects. The mission of One Hundred+ People for Perry is to invest in the future of Perry by supporting existing charities/nonprofits/worthy projects that promote the quality of life and betterment of the Perry community.

  • The goal of 100+ People for Perry is to make four major donations each year to benefit our community.
  • 100% of each contribution goes to the community; national charities are not considered.
  • Each charity/nonprofit organization/cause must be a 501(c)(3) or sponsored by a 501(c)(3), be project-based, and benefit the community of Perry.
  • The presentations will be non-electronic and will include project details, other current and potential funding sources, and how the project will improve the quality of life in the community and contribute to the betterment of Perry.
  • Only members are allowed to participate and give lectures.
  • New members are very welcome.

The 100+ People for Perry Q4 2024 meeting will be held on Monday, November 25th at 7pm at Hotel Pattee. Members are asked to actively recruit new members and seek projects to present.
