The Carson City Board of Supervisors seeks applications from individuals interested in serving with the Carson City Airport Authority.

“The Airport Authority is a seven-member board that oversees all matters related to the Carson City Airport. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month in the Sierra Room at the Community Center,” city officials said in a press release.

Applicants must be willing to work approximately 10 to 16 hours per month. There are two positions available, each for a fixed term of four years.

One position is for a fixed site operator at the airport, the other is for a manufacturer that “must be located within a three-mile radius of Carson City Airport but must not be a fixed site operator at the airport.”

“However, if no manufacturer representative applies for this vacancy, the Board of Directors may appoint a member of the general public (i.e. another citizen),” the press release states.

Applications will be accepted until September 16. Interviews for the volunteer positions are scheduled for the Board of Directors meeting on October 3.
