Observed many foods in various refrigerators with the use by date incorrectly marked. Observed a spoon lying in the hand basin. Observed raw chicken at 9°C.
Good morning, 1559 Fort Harrison (3 critical, 2 not critical) Observed that the dishwasher sanitizer was not at the correct concentration to sanitize when tested. Observed black gunk on the walls in the storage room due to a leak in the ice cream maker. Observed rice and queso cheese on the steam table in the kitchen at 108-110°F. Items must be kept at 135°F or above.
Mexican restaurant Mis Tres Potrillos, 1290 Lafayette Ave. (2 critical, 4 not critical) Observed raw chicken stored over beef and raw shrimp stored over ready-to-eat foods. Observed accumulated dirt and rust on a countertop mounted can opener.
Grand Traverse Pie Co., 75 No. 3rd St. (2 critical, 3 not critical) An employee was observed drinking without a lid on a food preparation work surface and the employee’s food was in a non-designated area in the refrigerator. Dishwasher sanitizer was observed not reaching the required concentration to disinfect.
