Miners girls soccer team defeats Jordan on Monday

The Miners girls soccer team defeated Jordan 1-0 at home on Monday. Park City scored in the first half and held Jordan at bay in the second half, winning their third straight game. The team is now 3-0 in regional play and 6-2 overall this season. Park City’s next game is Wednesday away against Hillcrest at 3:30 p.m. The team will not return home until Sept. 9 when it faces Murray.

Wasatch soccer defeats Cyprus on Friday

The Wasatch football team got back on track Friday, beating Cyprus 45-0 at home. Wasatch lost its season opener to Park City on Aug. 16. Quarterback Mack Kelson and running back Hutch Solomon both had strong games, throwing and running for two points each. Wasatch is now 1-1 heading into its first road game at Rigby on Friday at 8 p.m. The team will not return home until Sept. 13, when it faces Orem in its regional opener.

Woodward hosts another beer yoga event on Thursday

Woodward Park City is hosting another beer yoga event on Thursday. From 6 to 8 p.m., yoga participants can practice, meet new people and drink beer together. Instructors from Enlighten Wellness will lead the hour-long yoga session from 6 to 7 p.m. Wasatch Brewery and Squatters will provide refreshments from 7 to 8 p.m. Participants must bring their own yoga mats to the event, which runs through September.

Flying Aces return to Utah Olympic Park this weekend

The Flying Aces aerial acrobatics shows return to Utah Olympic Park on Friday and Saturday nights. Visitors can watch aerialists from the Olympic and national teams soar up to 60 feet in the air before landing in the pool. Shows run nightly from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person, with a four-pack available for $70. The Flying Aces will soar in the park through Labor Day weekend.
