BART station West Dublin/Pleasanton closed due to cost-cutting measures: Reportedly

PLEASANTON, CA — The West Dublin/Pleasanton BART station was briefly closed Tuesday morning after a man reportedly struck people with a shiny metal object. No injuries were reported.

The station was closed around 7:50 a.m. after a person “stabbed two or three people with a shiny metal object,” BART spokesman Jim Allison told SFGate.

Police arrested the suspect and collected evidence, Allison said. The station reopened at about 8:55 a.m.

According to CBS and Bay City News, Wheels provided shuttles to the Dublin/Pleasanton station during the closure.

In July, a woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed with a sharp object on a BART train at the Dublin/Pleasanton station. The suspect, Diego Lightfoot, was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
