The Outside Circle: Fires, Horse Sales, Breeders Classic Bucking Horse Sales, Ranch Rodeos, Trail Rides

With the terrible fires came rain in some neighboring countries as well. It was certainly welcome and gave exhausted firefighters and others a break. Now the reality is that rebuilding fences, water sources, buildings and pens is overwhelming. Livestock were killed instantly and those who die or are left to die from smoke and injuries are horrific. My heart aches for those whose homes and buildings are destroyed. Watch for ways you can donate and help with rebuilding, as well as purchasing hay and other necessities for livestock that have nothing left to graze. See this document for contact information.

If you have lost livestock, it is important to document it with photographs so that if help is needed, you have the documentation to prove it. Any animals that later succumb to injuries and smoke must be photographed. This is a tedious task, but necessary. If there is an ear tag, pony tag or branding, it would be excellent to have these photographed.
