When Kate and Lila Moss stepped onto the beach in Formentera on Sunday, their physical similarities were clearly visible.
The 50-year-old supermodel showed off her incredible figure in a snake-print bikini as she relaxed on the beach alongside her daughter Lila Moss.
When the 21-year-old enjoyed the Spanish sun, she looked like the spitting image of her mother in the 90s.
Lila, who also has a successful modeling career, not only inherited physical characteristics from her mother, she also drew fashion inspiration from Kate.
The mother-daughter duo, who share a close bond and often go out together, regularly wear nearly identical outfits, with Lila often recreating Kate’s famous outfits from the ’90s.

When the model walked the red carpet at the 2022 Met Gala, she wore a simple dress that bore similarities to a dress Kate wore on the runway in 2013.

The then 19-year-old model looked radiant in a transparent beige Burberry dress decorated with letters and encrusted with diamonds.
To maintain her modesty, she wore a figure-hugging, skin-colored bodysuit underneath, which showed off her legs.
It was reminiscent of a look Kate wore in 2013 when she walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week in Marc Jacobs.
On the way to the inner courtyard of the Palais Royal, the mother of one child presented herself in a similarly transparent dress, but, unlike Lila, she did not wear the bodysuit underneath.
Lila repeated her mother’s example again last year at the British Fashion Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The model wore a sheer metallic slip reminiscent of her mother’s 1993 Liza Bruce dress, complete with black underwear.
Nensi Dojaka’s silver dress featuring cut-out sections and thin straps was complemented by a pleated bra top and a low back.

The sheer dress is widely considered one of Kate’s most famous looks, but at the time the supermodel had no idea it was see-through.

Three decades later, it remains one of Kate’s most memorable looks, but she previously revealed that she had no idea the garment was see-through and only noticed when she saw photos of herself in the newspaper the next day.
“It was the flash that made it look naked,” she told British Vogue.
“When I wore it, I didn’t think it was that see-through, but obviously it was,” she added. “Beautiful dress, good night.”
Speaking to British Vogue about her own outfit for the event, Lila explained: “I love feeling elegant, chic and sexy and Nensi’s designs are the perfect balance of all of these vibes, so I feel confident.”
“For the hair, I wanted something effortless – I found a reference on Pinterest of my mother wearing a thin bun for a Donna Karan show in 1993.”
Designer Nensi added: “The inspiration for this look came from the iconic Liza Bruce sheer slip that Kate wore in 1993. Lila is the perfect example of a young woman who is not afraid to make her own rules.”
Perhaps Lila’s desire to recreate her mother’s outfits from all those years is a result of their close bond.
In 2022, Lila spoke about her close relationship with her “funny” mother Kate and revealed that she carries an old Polaroid of the two together in her bag.
The then 19-year-old model spoke about their connection in a segment on Vogue’s YouTube series “In The Bag,” revealing the essentials in her handbag.

Holding up the sentimental Polaroid, Lila said, “I think this was on my mom’s 30th birthday. I could be wrong, but I look pretty young and she looks like she’s ready to go out. I think it’s really sweet.”
She continued, “If I could put one person in my bag, it would probably be my mom. She’s funny and has good advice, so I could ask her anything.”
When Lila talked about growing up in the spotlight, she admitted that she was shocked by the attention that surrounded her mother.

She explained: “I went to secondary school and everyone said, ‘Oh, your mum is Kate Moss!’ When you’re that young you don’t have a filter and I thought, ‘How do you know who she is? She’s old! She’s old and boring!'”
Lila added more about her relationship with her mother to the fashion bible: “I was very protective of my mom.”
“All my mom’s friends say I was so scary as a kid. I was pretty serious. But I also always imitated her. She always had her head down and didn’t look at the camera, so I always had my head down and didn’t look at the camera. I still do that.”
But Lila revealed that over time she realized how influential her mother is in the fashion world: “In the last three or four years I’ve realized that her style is actually really cool. I have to admit that now.”
The teenager further noted that while she steals Kate’s Saint Laurent coats and Chanel bags, her supermodel mother often steals her Adidas tracksuits.
Lila explained: “She doesn’t have a good selection of tracksuits. She only has pyjamas. She would probably hate it if I said that. She doesn’t want anyone to know she’s wearing tracksuits!”
A throwback to the old catwalk! Lila followed in her supermodel mother’s footsteps after landing her first modelling job at the age of 15 – just a year older than Kate was at the time – and the pair are now a force to be reckoned with in the modelling world (pictured at the Versace special event during Milan Fashion Week in September).
Lila told British Vogue that as a child she was “very protective of her mother.”
Lila landed her first modeling job at the age of 15 in a Marc Jacobs beauty campaign – making her just a year older than her mother when she entered the business.
Even though her mother was one of the most famous models in the industry, Lila revealed that Kate was determined to stop her from following in her footsteps.
“My mom always discouraged me (from modeling),” Lila said. “She always said, ‘If you want to do it, you can do it, but I wouldn’t recommend it.'”
Despite her mother’s fears, Lila stressed that she was not afraid that success as a model would bring her the fame that her parents tried to protect her from.
She mused: “Not really. I’ve experienced it myself and can deal with it much better. I’ve had to say no to people. But I’m always nice!”
Lila’s father is journalist Jefferson Hack, with whom Kate had a relationship in the early 2000s.
Jefferson and Kate – who were together from 2001 to 2004; Lila was born in 2002 – maintain a friendly relationship and made sure their daughter spent regular time with both of them during her childhood.
