OAK LAWN, IL — Park Lawn’s Queen of Hearts raffle rolled downhill like a snowball this week, producing a jackpot of $1,185,685 for the Aug. 14 drawing. The queen was nowhere to be found, busy rescuing zoo animals in Florida from Tropical Storm Debby.

No one has won Park Lawn’s progressive lottery since October 2022. In the seventh edition, the board was swept clean by four wild cards.

It was a big night for AA, who played the 48th seat (Patch’s number) and turned over the 10 J of diamonds. AA still goes home a winner with 24 free tickets to the August 14th drawing at the always entertaining At The Office Sports Bar & Grill in Crestwood.

And for all the conspiracy theorists out there, the extended Facebook Live drawing showed the Bozo drum being spun and shuffled “9 million times,” with a ceremonial scoop also shuffling the tickets in the drum.

Due to the extremely high number of players, online ticket sales now end at MONDAY LUNCH for the weekly draw every Wednesday. The sale of online tickets for next week’s draw has already resumed.

Tickets can still be purchased PERSONAL during business hours at Park Lawn’s Oak Lawn office at 10833 Laporte Ave., or purchase them at the convenient ticket machine at At The Office Sports Bar & Grill in Crestwood, where the live drawing takes place every Wednesday at 7 p.m.

All tickets must now be in the black box by 6:50 p.m. to be poured into the Bozo drum. And for all the conspiracy theorists out there, the Facebook Live drawing will now run a little longer so players at home can watch the Bozo drum being spun and shuffled “9 million times.”

The current progressive lottery continues to set new records for Park Lawn, with the only QOH jackpot over a million dollars in the south suburbs.

Players can now select multiple numbers in a single online purchase. That number, along with the purchaser’s name and phone number, will be written by a Park Lawn representative on all tickets purchased in that transaction and will be included in that week’s drawing. Should the Queen of Hearts appear, the winner splits the pot 60-40 with Park Lawn if present; or 50-50 if absent. The person whose ticket is drawn but does not find the Queen receives 24 byes to the next week’s drawing. Should the Ace of Spades appear, the winner (must be present to win) receives free appetizers at At the Office every week for a year. Joker resets the board.
