This is very helpful

Launched in 2022, PlayStation Stars is Sony’s rewards program that rewards gamers with points that can be exchanged for free credit, digital video games, and collectibles.

To start earning points, all you need to do is download the free PlayStation mobile app and sign up to PlayStation Stars. Once you’re signed up, you’ll earn points by completing simple campaigns through the app, which often require you to play current PS Plus titles, win certain in-game trophies, or simply make purchases on PlayStation Store.

Unfortunately, earlier this month Sony announced major changes that will drastically affect how we can earn free credit through PlayStation Stars. In short, reward points will expire much sooner and since players were already upset about the rewards cut, the changes Sony has made will make it much harder to earn free credit through PS Stars in the future.

Luckily, there’s a new feature in the PlayStation mobile app that makes it easier for us to keep track of when our points expire. To keep track of when we lose points, launch the PlayStation mobile app and press the PS Stars icon at the top of the screen.

Then click where your PS Stars level and current points are displayed. Now scroll down a little and right above the breakdown of all the points you’ve earned so far, you’ll see if any points expire this month.

It’s still annoying that we risk losing points more easily, but at least we now get a clear indication of when they expire and that should reduce the risk of missing out on free credit and/or video games from PlayStation Store. Just make it a habit to check at the start of each new month to see if or when your points expire.
