What is planned for the 2024 Evergreen State Fair?

The 2024 Evergreen State Fair in Monroe will be held August 22-27, ending August 28, and then continuing Labor Day weekend from August 29 to September 2.

Opening hours of the fair:
The gates are open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., except on the last day when admission ends at 7:00 p.m.

Daily from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., except the last day which ends at 7:00 p.m.

Activities:
There are hundreds of free activities at the fair that are included in your admission price. Here is a list of some of them to help you plan your day at the fair.

  • Courtyard stage: For 11 days, the stage will host a variety of musical performances including the Blue Mariah Band, Danny Vernon’s Illusions of Elvis, Inochi Taiko drummers, Mexican folk dancers Bailadores de Bronce, local bands, the Reptileman and more!
  • Duck race: The Great American Duck Races are back! Four shows daily are entertaining and educational. They take place on the east side of the museum. Come cheer on your favorite duck!
  • Wandering entertainment: From a one-man band to balloon artists to comedy – they will surprise you!
  • Peppy’s Water Palooza: Stay cool on a hot summer day at Peppy’s Water Palooza – imaginative and educational water play. The water tables are perfect for kids ages 0-10, PLUS parents love the provided seating and stroller-friendly accommodations. Daily visit: 10:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. south of the Gary D. Weikel Events Center.
  • International Lumberjack Exhibition: Watch axes being thrown, logs being rolled, and lumberjacks competing to climb 60-foot poles! This family-friendly event is guaranteed to make your jaw drop. Daily shows at 12:00pm, 4:00pm, and 7:00pm (no 7:00pm show on Labor Day).
  • Antique tractor exhibition in Sky Valley: Stop by the east side of the pavilion and check out the large collection of antique tractors! If you have small children, they can race around a closed-off track on a tractor their size! Sponsored by Central Welding.
  • Aztec Indian dancers: Daily 2pm and 6pm (no 6pm show on Labor Day). Heritage Area.
  • Free fireworks on opening day! 9pm in the stands
  • Children’s farmer for a day: In Barn No. 260 – Picking an apple, milking a cow, digging a potato, collecting eggs – Being a farmer.
  • Goat Playground: See goats playing and frolicking! East of Barn #609
  • Gardening with Ciscoe: On September 1st at 2 p.m., Ciscoe Morris from “Gardening with Ciscoe” will answer your gardening questions on the Courtyard Stage. Free with paid admission to the fair.
  • Circus luminescence: A traveling comedy juggling show with performances from August 22nd to 27th and from August 29th to September 1st throughout the exhibition center!
  • Costume characters: Interact and have your photo taken with Enchanting Events costume characters such as Spider Guy, Cinderella, Ice Queen, Rapunzel, All American Captain and Bat Guy at the West Gate at the Ag Display!
  • Leisure center for family fun: Adventure Alley is located under the grandstands and is home to family activities for all ages. Try fun activities like Toddler Town, a straw maze, a virtual reality station and Evergreen Speedway demo cars!
  • Competitions: Schedule here. Registration will be done on site on a first come, first served basis. This year there will be egg throwing, duck decoying, water balloon throwing, scone walking, quarter in a haystack and Frisbee throwing.

Entertainment:

  • Friday, August 23: Monster Trucks, MBTP, Teed Off Youth Hornets, Busses and Megasaurus (Admission 4:00 p.m., Fan Fest 5:40 p.m., show starts 6:55 p.m.)
  • Saturday, August 24th: Monster trucks, megasaurus, ripped off hornets, buses and dwarf cars (Admission 3:00 p.m., Fan Fest 4:50 p.m., show starts 5:55 p.m.)
  • Sunday, August 25th: Monster trucks, megasaurus, vintage modifications, sunken dwarf cars and buses (Admission 12pm, Fan Fest 1.50pm, show starts 2.55pm)
  • Monday, August 26: Josh Turner (Country) (Admission 18:00, show starts 19:30)
  • Tuesday, August 27: Martina McBride (Country) (Admission 18:00, show starts 19:30)
  • Thursday, August 29: Tribute Trilogy (Tribute Bands) + Lip-Sync Battle (doors open 5:30pm, show starts 7pm)
  • Friday, August 30th: Flo Rida (Hip Hop) (Admission 18:00, show starts 19:30)
  • Saturday, August 31st:
    – Evergreen Speedway – Street Stocks, Super Stock Figure 8s, Mini Stocks and Mini Bump to Pass, Stinger 8s and Hornets (6 p.m.)
    – Rairdon’s Ram Rodeo “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” (7pm)
  • Sunday, September 1st:
    – Demo Derby, Hornets, Stingers, Youth Hornets, V8 Extremes, boat races, buses and fireworks (6pm)
    – Rairdon’s Ram Rodeo “Military Appreciation Night” (7 p.m.). Sponsored by Snohomish Co-Op.
  • Monday, September 2nd:
    – 425 Motorsports Auto X. Free with paid trade fair admission (12 noon)
    – Rairdon’s Ram Rodeo “Cowboy Crisis Fund” (14 o’clock)

ParkParking: Parking is $10.00 on weekdays and $15.00 on weekends. Cash or credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) are accepted. Handicapped parking is available in all fairground parking lots. These spaces are located in all official parking lots near the entrances.
