ORLANDO, Fla. – Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has once again topped the charts, becoming the world’s most visited theme park in 2023, according to a new report.
According to the 2023 Theme Index Report released by AECOM, Themed Entertainment Association and Storyland Studios, the park attracted 17.7 million visitors last year. Disneyland in California followed in last place with less than half a million visitors.
Epcot recorded 11.98 million visitors in 2023, an increase of 19.8%.

Universal Orlando parks had a less successful year, with both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida seeing attendance drop by 9.3%. Other Florida parks that made the top 20 were Disney’s Animal Kingdom with 8.77 million, SeaWorld Orlando with 4.34 million and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay with 4 million.
The eight Florida parks in the top 20 recorded 76.9 million visitors, while worldwide visitor numbers increased by 3%.
