How to use grenades – Star Wars Outlaws Guide

How to use grenades – Star Wars Outlaws Guide

When you equip a grenade, a white line will appear to help you aim. This line will automatically lock on to nearby enemies when you look at it, so you don’t have to aim precisely when throwing grenades. However, sometimes it can be difficult to select the desired target if the enemies are crowded together or too close to each other.

If you ever run out of grenades, you can still find them lying around Syndicate-controlled zones. Enter a zone controlled by a syndicate in which you are Good or Excellent Stand next to them and help yourself to their items. If you have an excellent reputation, the syndicate members won’t even mind if you take things right in front of them.

If you are too early in the game to have a good reputation with a faction, you can still send Nix to Steal grenades from Imperial officers – They tend to have grenades as stealable items.

How to use smoke bombs

Smoke Bombs are an expert skill that can be unlocked after completing the quest “The Mechanic” on Toshara at the beginning of the story. Village Rovakthe mechanic, Kay imparts the knowledge of how to use smoke bombs like an expert.

Smoke bombs are found in the same equipment menu as grenades, but they work a little differently. Instead of aiming smoke bombs, Kay will automatically throw one at her feet when you select the option in the menu.

The bombs cannot be picked up anywhere either – instead, they recharge over time, like the blaster’s tranquilizer shot. But certain items of clothing, like the Crimson Reign Equipment Set, provides quick ways to reload smoke bombs. You can get this set by reaching the highest reputation with Crimson Dawn.
