The Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows in Kāʻanapali is open again after 10 months of providing shelter to Lahaina residents in need. On Tuesday, September 3, the resort will celebrate its grand reopening with a Hawaiian blessing at noon, followed by an opening dinner in the evening.

The debut will feature a new oceanfront restaurant and bar, Lahaina Noon, and a new poolside bar, Pineapple Moon. The newly reimagined culinary destinations were conceived by TableOne Hospitality and helmed by renowned restaurateur Patric Yumul.

The Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows invites guests to rediscover Kāʻanapali, Maui, with a distinctive new restaurant and bar, 333 guest rooms, 127 premier bungalows and extensive recreational offerings, all coupled with conscious tourism and renewed hope for a thriving Lahaina full of new beginnings.

Dinner is expected to be served for the first time on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Walk-ins are welcome. Reservations are available at www.lahainanoonhi.com and royal valet parking is complimentary for the first three hours.

Lahaina Noon Restaurant and Bar

Lahaina Noon Restaurant and Bar (formerly Royal Ocean Terrace) is a chic new 7,000-square-foot oceanfront restaurant on Maui with panoramic views of Kāʻanapali Beach and its pristine turquoise shores. The islands of Lānaʻi and Molokaʻi are just eight miles away, creating the most breathtaking seascape and sunset in the world.

With alfresco dining and a sleek yet casual Riviera interior, the varied daily menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner offer an elevated farm-to-table style dining experience that harmoniously blends Maui’s natural bounty with culinary artistry. Each plate reflects a commitment to purveyors and artisans who work together to strive for sustainability and the highest quality. A curated selection of wines and handcrafted cocktails ensure that every dining experience at Lahaina Noon is a feast for the senses.

Named after a natural phenomenon in which the sun is directly in the sky for a short time, obscuring the earth’s shadows, Lahaina Noon symbolizes the perfect alignment of earth and sky, and its cuisine offers pleasure and nourishment.

Pineapple Moon

Named for “enchanting nights when the moonlight glows as sweetly as the island’s pineapples,” Pineapple Moon, formerly Barefoot Bar, is a relaxed, open-air poolside bar. The beachfront hangout for sun-drenched socializing where Pau Hana is always at the forefront. Surrounded by canary-yellow cabanas, swaying palms and stunning blue sea views, guests are invited to soak up the sun with signature cocktails, exotic garnishes and snacks inspired by the island’s vibrant flavors.

Further renovations

Set amidst tropical gardens, the resort’s 127 private bungalows are designed with upscale comfort and mid-century-style furnishings, and offer tranquil views of the ocean, mountains or adjacent golf course.

The resort, known for its spectacular nightly Myths of Maui lūʻau, is currently expanding its wedding and event spaces to include oceanfront bridal suites, complete with private concierge services and personalized amenities.

In addition, Alana Spa will open a new oceanfront wellness oasis featuring six private suites and an expanded menu of therapeutic body treatments including massages, manicures, pedicures, LED facials, CBD salt baths, revitalizing concession stands and a refreshment bar.
