Houston Restaurant Weeks extended until the end of September

Houston Restaurant Weeks extended until the end of September

Foodies in Houston can eat and support a good cause for another month as Houston Restaurant Weeks has been extended through September 30, according to an August 28 press release.

What you should know

Since the event in 2003, over $21 million has been raised for the Houston Food Bank and over 60 million meals have been provided to food-insecure Houstonians, as previously reported by Impact on the community.

“After discussions with owners, operators and the Houston Food Bank, the decision was made to keep HRW running at a reduced donation amount through the end of September to give restaurants, employees and others impacted by financial hardship after this summer an opportunity to recover,” said Katie Stone, president of the Cleverley Stone Foundation, in a press release. “HRW has proven to be an annual visitor driver for the industry and this seemed like a positive decision for those who have supported us for 21 years.”

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Houston Food Bank. Meal prices are as follows:

  • Brunch for $25
  • Lunch for $25
  • Dinner for $39-55
