In total, the campaign supports nearly 150 Canadian non-profit organizations that help victims of domestic violence and their children, low-income families, and people with disabilities or mental health issues. “Everyone should have a safe place to live. I firmly believe in that, especially given the housing shortage that affects so many Canadians today,” says Josée Lafitte, director of the RONA Foundation.

Significant local impacts

“Our teams in the stores and distribution centers are inspired and motivated by this current cause because each team chooses the local organization they want to support. Some nonprofits sometimes find it more difficult to raise funds because they do not have the infrastructure of a large national organization. That is exactly what we have,” says Catherine LaporteChair of the Board of Directors of the RONA Foundation and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience at RONA.

Customers in the RONA network across the country are invited to make a donation to support a local cause during their in-store visits. Online shoppers also have the opportunity to get involved by making a donation when shopping on rona.ca.
