Georgia Southern University is on Forbes’ 2024 list of America’s Best Employers by State.

Each year, Georgia Southern faculty and staff are given the opportunity to actively provide input and help enhance Georgia Southern’s culture of excellence.
America’s Best Employers in State 2024 were determined in an independent survey from a large sample of more than 160,000 employees who work for companies with at least 500 employees in the United States. The ranking is open to companies from all industries, and approximately 4.4 million employer ratings were considered. Considering three years of data allowed for a solid distinction between organizations that have consistently performed well and those that may have had just a single good year. An employer’s final score is determined on a state-by-state basis and is based on two types of employee ratings, including: Personal ratings: employees’ willingness to recommend their own employer to friends and family; and Public ratings: recommendations from friends and family of employees or members of the public who work in the same industry—also known as indirect ratings.
This award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the leading statistics portal and provider of industry rankings.
