“Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” premieres on October 29 on Disney Channel and the next day on Disney+

Wizards Beyond Waverly Placea sequel to the Emmy® Award-winning Wizards of Waverly Placepremieres with two episodes on Tuesday, October 29th at 8 p.m. ET on Disney Channel. The first eight episodes will be available the next day, Wednesday, October 30th, on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand.

It was also announced today that Raven-Symoné (Raven’s Home) and Danielle Fishel (Life and I) will direct the episodes of the first season.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place follows adult Justin Russo (David Henrie), who has chosen to live a normal, mortal life with his family: Giada (Mimi Gianopulos), Roman (Alkaio Thiele), and Milo (Max Matenko). When Justin’s sister Alex Russo (guest star Selena Gomez) brings Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) to her home seeking help, Justin realizes he must brush up on his magical skills to mentor the sorcerer’s apprentice while also managing his everyday duties – and securing the future of the wizarding world.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Taylor Cora also stars as Winter.

Writers Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas are executive producers along with Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, Gomez and Henrie. Andy Fickman directs and executive produces the pilot and will direct several episodes of the first season. Wizards of Waverly Place was created by Todd Greenwald.

Following the series’ premiere on Disney Channel, two new episodes – including a Halloween episode – will premiere on Disney Channel on October 30. Beginning November 8, episodes will premiere every Friday at 8 p.m. ET, with two episodes released weekly.
