There will be a second shuttle bus route for the Texas A&M football team’s first home game on Saturday.

In addition to buses from downtown Bryan, the City of College Station offers free shuttles from the Tourism Building next to City Hall at Texas 1207.

The newest feature of the city’s hometown tailgate event was addressed at the end of the August 22nd City Council meeting.

City Manager Bryan Woods extended the invitation and included city council members as private citizens.

The council discussion included a reference to Notre Dame fans. Mayor John Nichols said, “When you see a couple of elves over there walking around in green costumes, you know Notre Dame is in town.” Council member Bob Yancy then said, “That would be water and fertilizer.”

There is also free parking at the College Station tailgate. The shuttle requires a wristband which can be obtained from the Candy 95 staff standing at the tailgate.

College Station service will also be available during the city’s tailgate events before Missouri, LSU and Texas games.
