What new VR games does September have in store for Meta Quest and Pico headsets? The following titles have been announced.

The titles are arranged chronologically by their release date and contain an official game description.

The following list is not necessarily complete. Some VR games will be announced or delayed throughout the month.

With date

Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded (Meta Quest 3, September 5, new release)

“In Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded, Agent 47 returns as the world’s greatest assassin to complete the most important assignments of his entire career. The game marks a significant milestone in the HITMAN series and harnesses the power of Meta Quest 3 to deliver a truly immersive, tetherless VR experience.”

Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded will be released exclusively for Quest 3 in the Horizon Store.

Starwave (Meta Quest, September 5, new release)

“Starwave takes you on a cosmic journey filled with high-energy music and exciting freeform movements. Feel the rhythm of the universe as you soar through distant galaxies and bathe the night sky in color and light. Ride a wave of enhancing energy for a day of interstellar euphoria.

Starwave appears in the Meta Horizon Store.

Underdogs (Pico, September 5)

“Cover yourself in 5 tons of metal and face underground mech battles! It’s all metal against metal in this first-of-its-kind physics-based mech brawler. Equip yourself with over 100 items and tools, hire hackers and saboteurs, and take on the gangsters and psychos that rule the streets as you fight your way up the food chain.

Underdogs is released in the Pico Store.

The VR game is already available in the Horizon Store and on Steam.

Chernobyl Again (Meta Quest & Pico, September 12, new release)

“Chernobyl Again is an adventure game for VR headsets set in digitized original locations of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. You have the opportunity to explore the zone, feel its gloomy atmosphere and follow the plot full of unexpected twists by solving various types of puzzles and traveling through space and time. Your goal is to prevent the explosion of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and its consequences, not only for our timeline but also for alternative futures.

Chernobyl Again will be released on the Horizon Store and Pico Store.

The VR game will be released simultaneously on the Playstation Store for Playstation VR 2 and on Steam for PC VR headsets.

Hotel R’n’R (Meta Quest, September 12)

“Live the lifestyle of a rock star. Sell your soul for fame, destroy hotels and become famous.

Each hotel is a playground for physics-based destruction, with time to explore and plan strategy before setting off the fireworks and trying to keep the manager away. With a hellish pawn shop full of oddly satisfying weapons including wet fish, an electric baton, C4 and pistols, and a series of challenges to appease the devil, it’ll take not just looks but brains to become the most notorious rock star.”

Coming to the Horizon Store.

The VR game is already available on the Playstation Store for Playstation VR 2 and on Steam for PC VR headsets.

Mannequin (Meta Quest, September 12, leaves Early Access)

“Two elite agents hunt Mannequins, shape-shifting aliens disguised as human statues. They lure unsuspecting agents into an ambush and freeze them with a single touch.

The agents scan the dolls using cutting-edge technology and shoot to kill. They must distinguish friend from foe. If they hit a human, their weapon will jam and they will be unprotected. The last team standing wins the hectic game of cat and mouse.

Astro Hunters (Meta Quest, September 19)

“Become one of the mercenaries, called Hunters, and help the Mothership achieve its goals on enemy planets. Take on dangerous missions and challenge other players as you plunder the planets.”

Astro Hunters is coming to the Horizon Store.

The VR game is already available on Steam.

>Escaping Wonderland (Meta Quest & Pico, September 26, new release)

“Dive down the rabbit hole and immerse yourself in the fantastic world of Escaping Wonderland!”

Get ready for hours of fun filled with puzzles, magic, and just the right amount of great nonsense. Will Molly find her way out, or will she discover the strange truth that sometimes the best way out is the way in? Dive into this bizarre vortex, discover what Molly is really flying from, and help her regain her memory.

Escaping Wonderland is available on the Horizon Store.

Metal: Hellsinger VR (Meta Quest, September 26, new release)

“Metal: Hellsinger VR is a rhythm FPS filled with demons, brutal weapons and heavy metal music. Kill to the rhythm of metal and vengeance on a hellish journey through the eight hells. Make them fear the beat.”

Metal: Hellsinger VR is available on the Horizon Store.

The PC VR version and PSVR 2 version will be released on October 3rd on Steam and the Playstation Store.

By Grit Alone (Meta Quest, new release)

“A horror action shooter that combines hectic combat with a scary sci-fi story.

You’re stranded in a bizarre, unknown dimension, crawling with ancient spaceships and ravenous aliens. Uncover the secrets of the dead as you move from ship to ship, slaughtering your way through hordes of mindless monsters.

Impulse: Playing with reality (Meta Quest, new release)

“Impulse explores the extreme sides of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), combining imaginative games with dramatic stories of people whose intense emotions lead them to the brink of the abyss.”

Leanne turns her world into a game to escape boredom. Omar’s chaotic mind focuses on risky heists. Errol invents a crazy personality to gain respect. And Tara is close to giving up. Their stories are brought to life through mixed reality.
