In recent months, the rumor that a new “Lego Harry Potter”project could be about to be announced. After speculation that we are dealing with an implementation of the “Lego Harry Potter Collection” for the current consoles, the whole thing has now been officially announced.
As WB Games announced, the developers at Double Eleven are currently working on a port of the “Lego Harry Potter Collection” to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The versions for the current generation consoles will be released on October 8, 2024 and, just like the original, will include “Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4” and “Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7”.
Furthermore, the two DLCs that appeared after the release of the title are included on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Of course, the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are not simple 1:1 ports of the “Lego Harry Potter Collection”. Instead, the collection offers various technical improvements on the current consoles. In addition to massively reduced loading times, there is a display in 4K and 60 frames per second.
Furthermore, the developers at Double Eleven are spicing up the game world of the “Lego Harry Potter Collection” on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S with higher resolution textures. Exclusively on the PS5, players can also look forward to support for the haptic feedback of the DualSense.

Finally, WB Games pointed out that players who own the “Lego Harry Potter Collection” in a digital version for the PS4 or Xbox One will be able to purchase the versions for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S at a reduced price upon release.
