(4) Alexander Zverev vs. (12) Taylor Fritz (1:15 p.m.)

This will be an entertaining duel. The hard-hitting Zverev against the hero of the host country, Fritz.

Fritz had battled his way through the competition, not losing a single set in his first three matches. Even after losing the first set to Casper Ruud in the fourth round, he fought back to win the last three sets, qualifying for a major quarterfinal for the third time this year.

Zverev has become a player expected to make it this far, but his path to this point has been a little bumpier than his opponent. Despite receiving a bye in the first round, the German has had to survive four sets in three of his four matches.

(9) Grigor Dimitrov vs. (20) Frances Tiafoe (8:15 p.m.)

Although his track record at subsequent Grand Slam tournaments has often been called into question, some believed that Tiafoe would not make it to the quarterfinals in Flushing again due to his draw. However, the former semifinalist beat fellow countryman Ben Shelton and Alexei Popyrin to make it to the last eight.

Dimitrov has been trying to rest as much as possible after his five-set battle against Andrey Rublev in the round of 16 on Sunday. The Bulgarian player had not lost a set before.

(10) Alex de Minaur vs. (25) Jack Draper

De Minaur is in the quarterfinals of a major tournament for the third time in a row. It will be the toughest match of the tournament for the Australian, as he has never played against a seeded opponent in Queens. He has also never made it to a Grand Slam semifinal.

Draper has also never played a top-30 opponent at the US Open, although he has won every match in straight sets. His play earned him his first place in a key quarterfinal.

(1) Jannik Sinner vs. (5) Daniil Medvedev

The rivalry between these young stars will write a new chapter.

These two met in the quarterfinals at Wimbledon two months ago, with Medvedev prevailing in a classic while Sinner defeated Medvedev to win the Australian Open.

The Russian star played comfortably for most of the tournament, dropping just one set in the first four rounds. The 2021 US Open champion has reached the semifinals in Queens in four of the last five years and has reached the last four in four of the last five majors.

Sinner has been outstanding since losing the opening set of the tournament, winning his last three matches in straight sets.
