The Anker Prime 100W GaN Wall Charger (3 Ports) has a lot going for it: three charging ports, 100 watts of maximum charging power, and travel-friendly dimensions. Recently updated from a very similar model, it’s a bit smaller than its predecessor.
A maximum of 100W is distributed across the three ports. It doesn’t matter which of the two USB-C ports you choose. If you only connect one device, you always have 100W of charging power available – this makes the Anker GaN Prime 100W suitable for fast charging all current MacBooks with the exception of the 16-inch Pro, which requires a 140W charger for fast charging. This charger is still fine for the top-end MacBook Pro, just not for fast charging. It charges the MacBook Air models and the 13- and 14-inch Pro models quickly without any problems.
A maximum of 22.5W is available via the USB-A port. When two devices are connected, the power is divided as follows:
- Between USB-C 1 and USB-C 2: 65 W and 35 W
- Between USB-C 1 and USB-A: 76 W + 22.5 W
We measured the charging performance via USB-C in 30 minutes. An iPhone 15 was charged to 56 percent, an 11-inch iPad Pro to 36 percent and a MacBook Air M3 to 50 percent.

In addition to the intelligent charging technology PowerIQ 4.0, Anker’s GaN Prime technology also includes Active Shield 2.0 monitoring of the charging ports, which meant that the case had no temperature problems in our test during normal operation. It only got very warm when fast-charging the MacBook Air M3.
The foldable plug, which we already appreciated in the smaller model Anker GaN Prime 67W with 67 watts, is very practical. This reduces the total length to a slim 7.5 centimeters and since the plug does not protrude, it also fits better in your luggage.
The UK model (pictured above) is slightly larger than the US version due to the UK three-pin plug dimensions, but this one is also foldable.
Should you buy the Anker Prime 100W GaN wall charger?
The Anker Prime 100W GaN Wall Charger is a highly recommended USB charger that is especially useful when traveling. If you only need to use one of its ports, you don’t have to figure out which is the 100W port, as both USB-C ports support it.
