Caitlin Clark laughs at a teammate’s “balls” comment in the post-game press conference

Caitlin Clark is a real basketball star and, man oh man, does she love a good double entendre.

Clark and her teammates Lexie Hull and Kelsey Mitchell were in charge of the press conference following the Indiana Fever’s 84-80 win over the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

During the press conference, Hull was asked a question about the game and she gave a fairly standard answer that she did everything in her power to help the team win in such a close game. However, it sounded like a line from the classic 1976 Bon Scott-era AC/DC song “Big Balls.”

“So I tried to be as active as possible and get as many balls in my hands as possible,” Hull said.

Clark couldn’t help but laugh out loud at her Mexican buddy’s unintentional double entendre, while Mitchell also burst out laughing.

I don’t care what point in your life you are at or how sophisticated you think you are, there are few things that make people laugh like an unintentional double entendre.

There are urban legends about this. There is the famous one attributed to Dizzy Dean. The camera panned to a couple kissing behind home base and he allegedly said to his broadcast partner Pee Wee Reese, “Look at that, Pee Wee, he kisses her on strikes and she kisses him on balls.”

There’s a good chance that never happened, but I clearly remember my grandfather telling me about it like it was a sacred part of baseball history.

There are similar stories about golfers (mostly Arnold Palmer) whose wives allegedly said they kissed their balls for good luck.

Hilarious.

Now we have Lexie Hull dropping a truly double entendre, on camera for the whole world to check out and enjoy.
