3 player props to consider for the Chiefs-Ravens game

3 player props to consider for the Chiefs-Ravens game

The Kansas City Chiefs prepare to open the NFL season against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night, which will also mark the start of the second football season with widespread, legal sports betting.

So let’s make the Chiefs-Ravens game a little more interesting. Looking through FanDuel Sportsbook, I picked out three player bets for the Chiefs in the season opener:

Isiah Pacheco over 80.5 rushing and receiving yards (-114)

Chiefs starting running back Isiah Pacheco is scheduled to have a heavy workload in Week 1. Veteran backup Clyde Edwards-Helaire was placed on the non-football list this week and veteran running back Samaje Perine was signed just a week ago.

That should mean Pacheco will be used heavily on the running and passing games. In last year’s AFC Championship game, the Ravens limited Pacheco in a challenging game – but Pacheco still managed 82 yards on offense.

I see improvements on the Chiefs offensive line that will give Pacheco more room to gain yards in this matchup.

Rashee Rice over 5.5 receptions (-138)

With Rice spared from a potential suspension this season, he’ll be a ready-to-start player as the Chiefs’ high-volume pass receiver in Week 1. Rice earned the trust of quarterback Patrick Mahomes last year by overcoming zone coverage and has also proven to be a weapon after the catch.

With the Ravens’ attention likely focused on tight end Travis Kelce, Mahomes will often look in Rice’s direction.

Xavier Worthy’s longest reception over 21.5 yards (-108)

The Ravens last defended the Chiefs’ offense when it wasn’t as strong vertically as it is now. Unfortunately, Hollywood Brown was not used – and that could give Baltimore confidence that it can handle the Chiefs’ weapons in man coverage without much support from the safeties.

Watch as Mahomes sets up Worthy for a game-changing play in this situation.
