The Chicago Red Stars today announced the club’s “Welcome Home Match” on September 8, presented by United Airlines. Several Paris 2024 Olympians will be in attendance when the Chicago Red Stars host the Orlando Pride at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois at 5:00 p.m. CT. Fans can benefit from numerous ticket offers, an outstanding pre-game fan experience and a celebration by four Red Stars Olympians before kickoff.
Chicago’s first home game after the Olympics Closing Ceremony marks the return of Paris 2024 Olympic Games gold medalists Alyssa Naeher and Mallory Swanson (USA), silver medalist Ludmila (BRA) and Canadian women’s soccer Olympic team midfielder Julia Grosso. Grosso and two-time Brazilian Olympian Ludmila will wear the Red Stars crest for the first time at SeatGeek Stadium after signing with the club in July.
A Chicago Red Stars Match Day Clinic presented by Wintrust begins at 2:00 p.m. CT at SeatGeek Stadium. Match Day Clinic participants will develop their technical soccer skills, participate in a Q&A session with a Red Stars player and receive admission to the Welcome Home Match presented by United Airlines included in the price of the clinic. The Welcome Home Match, presented by United Airlines, will feature a host of exciting activities in the Fan Zone at SeatGeek Stadium prior to kickoff on September 8. Located in Gate C Plaza, the Fan Zone will open one hour before kickoff and will offer an exclusive Red Stars scarf to the first 1,000 ticketed fans to enter the stadium. There will also be special games in the Kids Corner and live music.
Several ticket packages are available for fans attending the Welcome Home Match presented by United Airlines, which is also Back to School Night and DePaul Night featuring the Chicago Red Stars at SeatGeek Stadium. The Back to School package includes a game ticket and an exclusive Red Stars mug. DePaul University students, staff, faculty and alumni who purchase the DePaul Night ticket package will receive a game ticket and an exclusive baseball cap co-branded with the Chicago Red Stars and DePaul University Blue Demons.
The Chicago Red Stars will resume the National Women’s Soccer League regular season with a two-game away tour, taking on Racing Louisville FC on August 24 and Angel City FC on September 1. After the West Coast trip, the Red Stars will return to SeatGeek Stadium on September 8 for the Welcome Home Match presented by United Airlines.
