Ed Kelce and Taylor Swift had a welcome reunion as the two came together on Thursday night to watch Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs play their first game of the NFL season.

While watching the Chiefs’ game against the Baltimore Ravens, Ed and Swift sat next to each other in a box and laughed together during the NBC broadcast while Travis warmed up on the field below them.

They were also photographed standing and looking at the field below them while Ed smiled and Swift gave a thumbs up to fans standing nearby.

Ed was first spotted with Swift on Oct. 12 when the Chiefs beat the Denver Broncos. Two weeks later, he told PEOPLE he was impressed by the singer, who he called “very authentic,” in part because she went around cleaning up the trash in her suite.

“I just think, I don’t think she got the diva memo. She didn’t understand the spoiled musician. She doesn’t know how to make it work. And that really told me a lot.”

Ed added: “She’s very smart. I mean, very. You can tell right away.”

However, Ed later admitted that he did not recognize the superstar when they first met.

“Taylor comes in with a security guard, and I look at her and say (to my girlfriend), ‘Oh my God! I know this kid, but I don’t know her name.’ Jesus, you know, like a real idiot. And (my girlfriend) says, ‘You don’t know her? That’s Taylor Swift, you idiot,'” he said in January.

The Chiefs’ next game is on Sunday, September 15, against the Cincinnati Bengals.
