Three years have passed since Justin Bieber’s last album and he is finally back in the studio.

In a new interview with The New York TimesIndie singer-songwriter Mk.gee revealed that he has been in studio sessions with the “Love Yourself” singer. “He’s looking,” he said. “Everything that comes out of his mouth: That’s pop music. You can do some really wild things with it, just because it represents something.”

After launching a world tour in February 2022 in support of his latest project, 2021’s justiceand his 2020 Changes In June of the same year, Bieber announced that he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which had resulted in “complete paralysis” of one side of his face and required the postponement of some appointments.

Although he was back on tour, Bieber was forced to pause a tour again in September following the Rock in Rio festival due to health issues. At the time, Bieber said he needed to “make my health a priority right now” and announced he would take an indefinite break from touring to rest and recover. He then canceled all remaining shows originally scheduled through March 25, 2023.

Since then, he has appeared as a guest on several singles, including Don Toliver’s “Private Landing” and an acoustic version of SZA’s “Snooze.”

However, Bieber has been busy with fatherhood lately. The star and his wife Hailey Bieber welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Jack Blues Bieber, last month.
