The NFL+ streaming service offers live local and primetime games for $7/month or $28 for the four-month regular season, while YouTube’s Sunday Ticket covers all other games for $479. But of course there’s a catch: NFL+ only includes mobile viewing rights. If you want to watch the NFL on your real big-screen TV, things get complicated. Much more complicated.
Where to watch 2024 NFL games with or without cable
NFL games air each week on CBS, ESPN, Fox and NBC. If you want Sunday Ticket and access to those four channels, YouTube TV is the cheapest option without traditional cable. It currently offers a $65/month discount for new subscribers, as well as a $100 discount on the out-of-market football package (which is $479 this season) for multi-channel customers. YouTube TV also includes NFL Network, which will feature seven exclusive games in 2024.
Venu Sports plus NBC’s Peacock and CBS’ Paramount Plus services would have a light cheaper way to get the most common game channels (except NFLN), although that platform is currently in a legal grey area. For those who don’t need Sunday Ticket, Sling’s combo package along with Paramount Plus could produce a similarly slightly cheaper end result.
Google is currently offering a package of YouTube TV and Sunday Ticket for $636, which offers four months of football coverage – but not complete coverage. NFL RedZone is a $40 add-on for Sunday Ticket subscribers. (RedZone can also be purchased directly from the NFL for $15/month or $60 for the season as part of NFL+ Premium.)

Amazon Prime Video: Amazon returns in Week 2 with its third season of exclusive Prime Video broadcasts and broadcasts a spectacular duel between the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins. ESPN+: On Monday, October 21, during Week 7 of the NFL, ESPN+ will offer its only exclusive game of the season featuring the Los Angeles Chargers and Arizona Cardinals. ESPN+ is currently $11/month.
Netflix: And for the first time this season, Netflix is joining the NFL broadcast party. The streamer will air two games on Christmas, and its lowest subscription price is currently $7/month.
Adding those four services together for the required subscription periods adds another $62, making it $698. For the playoffs, add another $82 if you get another month of YouTube TV and Prime Video (which has its first exclusive postseason game this season). The cheapest way to watch the Super Bowl is with an $8 subscription to Paramount+.
Final total price? $788. However, almost all sports fans probably already pay for some of the services mentioned above.
Without Sunday Ticket, the total cost for the four streamers plus YouTube TV currently drops to $322 for the regular season. YouTube also offers a Sunday Ticket package for $199 for verified students.
Of course, fans of their local teams can alternatively watch all of these games with a $20 antenna and watch highlights of other promotions online.
