Xavier Worthy challenges NFL analyst after sensational debut

Xavier Worthy challenges NFL analyst after sensational debut

The Kansas City Chiefs started the 2024 regular season with a bang on Thursday night. They won 27-20 against the Baltimore Ravens and started the new season with a record of 1-0.

This offseason, general manager Brett Veach has done a great job of adding more playmakers to the roster. They were able to grab wide receiver Xavier Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and he was instrumental in Thursday’s win.

Rodney Harrison of NBC Sports spoke about Worthy before the game and revealed that he was not afraid of him.

Harrison said: “Xavier Worthy is this small, skinny guy. I don’t care about him. I know he’s fast, but he doesn’t scare me.”

Worthy responded on social media shortly after the game.

In his Instagram story, Worthy reacted to the clip of Harrison speaking before the game, commenting: “Word!!”.

Instead of taking those comments to heart, the Texas product showed what he could do in his NFL debut. Worthy finished with two pass catches for 47 yards and a touchdown. He also had a run for 21 yards and another touchdown.

This is a great sign for the Chiefs and Worthy. He made an impression in his first appearance and his confidence is now sky high.

Harrison might want to be careful what he says about Worthy and the other players on the roster, because they are paying close attention.

The Chiefs already have a long list of haters and doubters trying to keep them from winning this season. But no matter what they say, Kansas City has shown that they are still the team to beat in the NFL.
