The Green Bay Packers lost their season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, but the bigger concern is Jordan Love.

Love was injured late in the fourth quarter and had to be carried off the field. He had already been struggling with calf problems.

Television cameras caught Love receiving treatment on his calf between drives in the second half of the Packers’ season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, but in the final moments, Love suffered a horrific injury.

He had to leave the game as the Packers attempted to score a game-winning touchdown. Substitute Malik Willis entered the game on the final play.

The former first-round pick has completed less than 50 percent of his passes for 227 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, posting a passer rating of 78.7. Love has made some good throws, but uncharacteristically missed several. Love reached for his calf after throwing a ball too high for Romeo Doubs in the end zone.

Love’s injury is something to watch after the game. Hopefully Love or Matt LaFleur will provide some answers in their postgame press conference.
