The food festival from Spokane is coming to Billings in two weeks

BILLINGS — Foodies in Billings have something to look forward to in a few weeks, as the Magic City welcomes its first food festival. Plans have been in the works for two years to bring the Spokane-based Crave Food Festival to Billings.

In an article reported by MTN in 2022, Spokane-based chef Adam Hegsted visited Montana at the behest of U.S. Foods representative Ryan Hendrickson to check out the Billings dining scene.

“You have some great chefs and some great people doing good work. And I thought, ‘How can we showcase this?'” Hegsted said Saturday.

The Crave Food Festival takes place the weekend of August 24 at ZooMontana. Tickets are $65 for an all-you-can-eat and drink experience featuring 30 different chefs and 20 other vendors.

“It’s from five to nine, with early admission at five and general admission starting at six, right? And that’s $65 for general admission, $75 for early admission,” Hendrickson said.

The band Brickhouse provides live music and entertains festival goers while they eat, drink and have fun.

US Foods is one of the main sponsors of the festival and will have three booths with their own chefs preparing food and local specialties will also be offered.

“Bin 119 will be there. Carver’s Brazilian Steakhouse, Granite Peak, Honey Eatery and Social Club, which is one of Adam’s restaurants in Coeur d’Alene. La Taqueria,” Hendrickson added.

“I think it’s really helped Spokane in terms of the perception of our dining scene nationally. And I think Billings is in the same position. There’s a lot of good restaurants there, a lot of people doing really great stuff, and we have some breweries and wineries, and all of those things are there. And I think it’s time to showcase them. This is kind of the place to do it,” Hegsted said.

If you purchase tickets today, you can get $10 off with code KTVQ10. Tickets can be purchased here.
