Universal has opened the seasonal experience where guests can have their photo displayed in the next Universal Studios Florida Tribute Store, giving us our first clue as to the theme of the Halloween Horror Nights 33 store, which is expected to open in the next few weeks (HHN begins August 30).
Become part of the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store
An A-shaped sign advertises the Halloween Horror Nights experience. Guests can have their photo taken on one of these prop foods:
- Box full of flavor: “Real” meat in a box!
This article contains a reference to Eddie Schmidt, the brother of Jack the Clown. He is usually depicted with a chainsaw.
- Chalk Oil: A multi-purpose oil used for dishwashing but NOT for cars
Although it is not an obvious reference, we believe this article is reminiscent of Jurassic Park.
- Llama beans: Now with special ham and pineapple pieces!
It wouldn’t be a tribute store without a mention of Gerg the Llama, who serves here as the source of reference for Gerg’s Llama Beans.
- Earl’s Coffee Beans: A unique blend of over 20 nuts and legumes (and coffee)
Last but not least, this item references Earl the Squirrel, another mainstay of Tribute Store lore.
Guests can visit Five & Dime or the current Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida or the All Hallows Eve Boutique at Universal’s Islands of Adventure to participate. Quantities are limited. Products will then be displayed in the Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store and shipped to you after the event ends.
Participating guests will receive a 24″ x 46″ poster. The vintage-style poster features images from previous Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Stores, including last year’s original character, The Curator. It notes that the store is “brand new every year” and touts its “multiple rooms!”
Although you will have to wait until the end of Halloween Horror Nights to get your food, you can get your poster upon purchase.
Tickets are still available for Halloween Horror Nights 33.
