Dolphins star Tyreek Hill arrested by police before season opener

Dolphins star Tyreek Hill arrested by police before season opener

Just before the start of the first Sunday of the NFL season, star wide receiver Tyreek Hill was reportedly arrested by police. A video shows Hill being handcuffed right outside Hard Rock Stadium, just hours before the Miami Dolphins are scheduled to open their season against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter confirmed the report that Hill was arrested by police for a traffic violation upon entering the stadium.

According to his agent Drew Rosenhaus, Hill is expected to play in the game today.

“I just left Tyreek and he’s getting ready to play today.”

Luckily for Hill and the Dolphins, it was nothing serious. Having Hill on the field is huge for Miami, especially when playing an AFC opponent like the Jaguars.

It’s rare for a player to be arrested by police right outside a stadium, so this was an unusual situation to say the least. But in the end, disaster was averted and it looks like Hill will compete.

Hill has been one of the better wide receivers in the NFL in recent years and received a generous contract extension from Miami. His speed on the field and ability to create space have helped the Dolphins’ offense achieve great success.

Last season, Hill had 119 catches for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns. It was his second consecutive season where he had 119 catches and over 1,700 yards.

Along with his co-star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, Hill has helped make the Dolphins’ offense one of the best in the NFL. Miami uses the speed and agility of both players to its advantage and makes life extremely difficult for the opposing defense.

The Dolphins use every possible movement in their offensive strategies and try to get their receivers out in any way possible. They believe that if they can use the field to their full potential, there is no defensive unit in the NFL that can slow them down.

Miami is looking to return to the playoffs this year and end their long drought without a playoff win. Last year they faced the Kansas City Chiefs and were eliminated in the wildcard round.

A good start to the season will be huge for Miami, and having Hill on the field will make all the difference.
