BOSTON – Tom Brady returns to the NFL on Sunday. This time, however, he will be in the commentary booth rather than on the field.

When will Tom Brady make his broadcast debut?

Brady will be on the microphone as a co-commentator for the first time on Sunday when the Dallas Cowboys travel to the Cleveland Browns at 4:25 p.m.

FOX Sports Brady hired as a top commentator in 2022 when he was still quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he delayed starting the media job until this year. The network reportedly gave Brady a 10-year contract worth $375 million.

Brady spoke about his new job during the college football game between Michigan and Texas on Saturday.

“Obviously I’m super excited. Of course there’s a little bit of nervousness. A lot of people have been preparing for this a lot. And it’s been a journey of several years,” Brady said. “But I think the most exciting thing for me is getting back to NFL football and being up here in the locker room. I have the best partner in Kevin (Burkhardt), Erin (Andrews) down on the field with Tom Rinaldi, we have a great group, there are so many talented people I get to work with. I get to be part of a great team. And I get to cover a sport that I absolutely love.”

Former Panthers tight end Greg Olsen was demoted to the network’s second-best analyst for the season and Brady was named top partner.

Bill Belichick wants to become a coach again

Brady is not the only one involved in the media side of football. His former coach Bill Belichick has a variety of media opportunities in store after parting ways with the Patriots in the offseason.

According to a new ESPN report Sunday, Belichick is using the appearances to keep a close eye on the NFL. Adam Schefter reported that Belichick plans to become a coach in 2025, but only in the right situation.
