Russell Wilson had hoped to make his debut for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, but a calf injury forced the team to sit him out of their Week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Russell will have to wait until at least next week to potentially begin his 2024 season with the Steelers, but his injury and inactive status didn’t stop him from doing something strange – wearing his full uniform and gear on the sidelines despite being taken out of the game before the game began.
The quarterback has done strange things before, like warming up alone before games he missed due to injury, so this wasn’t a total surprise, but it was just odd to watch.
