The Jacksonville Jaguars offense aims to involve as many playmakers as possible

The Jacksonville Jaguars offense will have two battles to fight on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. They will have to face a talented Dolphins defense that will undoubtedly cause plenty of problems for the Jaguars defense.

However, the Jaguars offense must also make sure it scores enough points to keep up with the Dolphins offense, which nearly scored the most points in the National Football League last season.

The Jaguars had numerous offensive players who showed potential in the offseason, such as running back Tank Bigsby. Bibsby, a third-round draft pick in 2023, had a productive preseason this offseason.

Jaguars offensive coordinator Press Taylor says he wants to find a way to get Bigsby and as many other players as possible the ball next season, starting against the Dolphins.

However, Taylor points out that the flow of the game plays an important role in his game management.

“Yeah, I think that’s always the goal,” Taylor said. “I think a lot of it is determined by the circumstances of a game. In games where you’re down by two points, it can end up being a shoot-and-shoot game, the numbers change. In third-and-longer situations, you’re throwing the ball a little bit more again just to try to convert. But as long as you’re in control of the game and you’re being efficient, the ideal game at the end of the day would be a 50-50 split.

“If we’re successful at throwing the ball and moving it like that, I don’t care if we throw it 100 times and run it zero times. If we win the game that way, that’s great. If we have to run it 100 times and never throw it, that’s great as long as we win. We’ll do whatever we can. If you look back at the end of the year and you hold the Lombardi and it’s 50-50, that’s great. Everyone had so many touches and we spread the wealth around, but we’ll do whatever it takes to win a game. We don’t care who gets it or how we do it, but we’re just trying to score one more point than them at the end of the day.”
