Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua missed the entire second half of his team’s 26-20 overtime loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football due to a knee injury.

Nacua limped off the field after catching a ball on a third-down play in the first half. He slowly got up and limped to the sideline before being examined by the coaching staff. The broadcast showed him attempting to run while the Lions were on offense. Nacua briefly returned to the field on the Rams’ next possession but was unable to continue and was taken out of the game at halftime.

After the game, Rams head coach Sean McVay said he had no further information on Nacua’s injury.

Nacua missed much of training camp due to a knee injury, but returned to practice on Aug. 26 and was listed as a full participant in practice in the days leading up to Week 1 – “He’ll be good to go,” McVay said.

Last season, Nacua set rookie records for receptions (105) and receiving yards (1,486) after being drafted in the fifth round by BYU.
