Rams had no updates on Puka Nacua and other injured players after Sunday night’s loss

The Rams did not enter Sunday night’s game against the Lions in top form and emerged from the 20-26 loss in overtime with a number of new injury concerns.

Topping the list was wide receiver Puka Nacua. Nacua suffered a knee injury in the first half and was eventually taken out of the game after being wheeled to the locker room.

Head coach Sean McVay did not provide an update on Nacua’s condition after the game, nor did he say whether the injury was related to the injury that cost Nacua playing time this summer.

The Rams also lost left tackle Joe Noteboom and left guard Steve Avila to injury, and Gary Klein was released from the Los Angeles Times reports that right guard Kevin Dotson wore a walking boot after the game. The Rams were already without tackles Alaric Jackson and Rob Havenstein, so they had to reshuffle players and bring in center Beaux Limmer and tackle AJ Arcuri.

“Hard Environment for playing“, said quarterback Matthew Stafford. “A couple of linemen went down, a starting receiver went down, and our guys didn’t even bat an eyelid.”

The Rams fought but lost, and their chances of avoiding further defeats would be significantly better if they received some good injury news in the coming days.
