Apple event live blog: All the latest news about the iPhone 16 as soon as it happens

Good morning everyone! Welcome to our live coverage of today’s Apple media presentation. We have three reporters on site at Apple Park in Cupertino, California to bring you live coverage. Throughout the event, you’ll hear from Adrienne So, Julian Chokkattu, Lauren Goode, Brenda Stolyar, and Michael Calore. Reece Rogers is also on site and posting on our social platforms.

Apple’s presentation begins at 10am Pacific, 1pm Eastern TimeAnd 6pm in the UK. We have a full breakdown of how to watch the show and what to expect.

Come back approx. 30 minutes before the presentation begins — approximately 9:30 a.m. in California — and you’ll see the words on this page replaced by a feed of our live updates.

In short: iPhone 16 models in standard and Pro versions, a new Apple Watch Series 10 in standard and Ultra versions, some updated AirPods and an updated Mac Mini. Of course, we’ll also hear a lot about software, from the different operating systems on Apple’s devices – iOS, macOS, watchOS, iPadOS, tvOS – to the Apple Intelligence features that tie it all together.

The invitation to today’s event features the slogan “It’s Glowtime” along with the Apple logo in bright colors. The colors used in the logo are the same colors that now appear as a glowing ring around the edge of the display to indicate that Siri is “active” and listening. We take this as a clear indication that Siri will be spending a lot of time on stage. We don’t expect any new iPads or MacBooks to be unveiled at today’s event, but you never know.

To watch it, of course, you can just click on the video stream on this page. But it’s even better on the big screen. You can watch it on your TV’s YouTube app; just tune into Apple’s YouTube channel. You can also watch it on Apple’s own streaming app. If you have an Apple TV or other streaming box, just head into the Apple TV+ app. When you open the app, the live stream for the event should be prominently displayed at the top. This works even if you’re not subscribed to Apple’s paid streaming service. Watching it on TV gives you time on your laptop screen to follow the live blog—and make jokes about X or Threads or Mastodon or Bluesky.

We’ll see you back here about half an hour before the event starts!
