Long before Dallas dominated Sunday’s season opener against the Cleveland Browns 33-17, there was plenty of pregame cheering among Cowboys fans.
While the wives of Cowboys stars Zack Martin, Dakoda Shepley and DeMarcus Lawrence were getting dolled up for kickoff by celebrity makeup artist Allison Kaye, Dak Prescott’s massive $240 million contract extension was announced, which the trio of Morgan Martin, Sloan Shepley and Sasha Lawrence celebrated with a congratulatory FaceTime call to the quarterback’s biggest supporter: his girlfriend Sarah Jane Ramos.
“The girls I was spoiling found out about Dak’s extension while they were sitting in my chair. They were freaking out, so excited and so happy for him and immediately FaceTimed Sarah Jane to celebrate the news,” Kaye told The Post exclusively.
“It was so nice to see how happy they were. It made them even more excited about the game.”
At the Cowboys’ opening game in Cleveland, Kaye — who has created stunning game-day looks for the wives of Chiefs stars, “Bachelor” alum Hannah Ann Sluss and more — used SPF, moisturizer and a lip mask from Beauty Pie “to prep the girls’ skin” before applying mascara, eye shadow, lip products and a setting spray from LA Girl Cosmetics to create “a long-lasting game-day look.”
“The girls looked amazing,” raved Kaye, who said the ladies “personalized” their ensembles with their husbands’ jersey numbers.
“They said, ‘This is going to be the best game ever!'”
It was a very special day for the Cowboys: just a few hours before kickoff, they agreed to a contract extension with 31-year-old Prescott, who is now the highest-paid player in league history with a guaranteed salary of $231 million.
For Prescott, who is now entering his ninth year in Dallas, it’s all about winning the Super Bowl after failing in the playoffs in previous years.
“That’s my only motivation, to keep my end of the bargain and deliver,” the three-time Pro Bowler said. “That’s the most important thing to me, not the money. It’s about keeping my end of the bargain and winning, and that’s what I want to do here.”
Prescott, who has a six-month-old daughter with Ramos, completed 19 of 32 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown against the Browns.
The Cowboys will host the Saints (1-0) next Sunday at 1 p.m. for their first home game.
