A house in Nolensville was repeatedly vandalized last year

NOLENSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) – What some would consider a harmless prank has earned a Nolensville family tens of thousands of dollars.

A Nolensville woman said her home has been hit several times since last year by everything from eggs to paint. Cleanup crews say it will likely be impossible to remove the roof without replacing all of her home’s shingles.

This homeowner wonders if the paint damaging her house is falling from the sky with the help of a drone.

It is the story of a prank taken to a new level, literally.

Kristen Sparkman showed us paint splatters on the roof, siding and even the sidewalk of her Nolensville home on Monday.

She said it started with eggs and toilet paper last year and is now moving on to eggs and paint, adding the latest attack happened just last week.

She said the combination of paint and baked-on egg made it impossible to remove without damaging the roof shingles, resulting in an expensive repair bill.

“They’re charging us $20,000 to $30,000 for a professional repair,” she said.

Kristen says when she saw that some of the eggs had string and tape attached to them and the force of the paint hitting the house, she wondered if the paint was perhaps transported by a drone and dropped over the house.

To get a better overview of the situation, we launched our own drone and were able to easily see what Kristen was talking about.

Kristen’s home is right next to three schools and she has two teenagers of her own.

She said she will wait to file a claim with her home insurance until whoever continues to do this is caught, to prevent it from happening even with a new roof.

She has filed reports with Nolensville Police Department and even the FAA and now hopes that the sky will only be one color in the future: blue.

“I don’t know, I’m not a fan of drones at the moment, I can tell you that!” said Kristen.

She is over 80 and almost blind. Woman from Franklin continues to crochet for those in need

“Here’s a great story that proves that everyone has something to give, regardless of age OR personal challenges. Our Austin Pollack introduces us to Ms. Sylvia Mooney. At 80 years old, she is not sitting still. Instead, she is using her skills to create compassion for others… one stitch at a time. Her crochet work goes to nonprofits to help our homeless neighbors. You might be surprised to know that she manages to do all of this while battling a serious health issue. Bravo Sylvia!”
