Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets recorded a clear 24-3 home victory against the New England Patriots on Thursday evening.
The Jets outscored the Pats 400-139 and had possession for over 40 minutes. Rodgers completed 27 of 35 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns, one to Allen Lazard for 10 yards in the first quarter and one to Garrett Wilson for two yards in the third.
In between those points, running back Breece Hall capped a 13-play, 91-yard run with a 1-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Hall finished the game with 83 yards and a touchdown and now has 290 yards and three scores after three games.
The Jets defense kept the Patriots at bay all night, crushing New England in the trenches, recording seven sacks. Will McDonald IV led the way with two sacks and finished the game with four quarterback hits.
The Pats had only managed 93 total yards before their final drive. The drive was led by rookie Drake Maye, who had replaced veteran starter Jacoby Brissett and had to do cleanup work. Maye led the Pats 46 yards in 16 plays to the Jets’ seven-yard line, but a sack ended the game.
Ultimately, this was a dominant win for the Jets and especially for the 40-year-old Rodgers, who turned back the clock on Thursday and delivered a sensational performance. Hall helped him do that, especially in the first half. The playmakers on both sides and the defense as a whole also shone.

This doesn’t even look like Aaron Rodgers 2022. It looks like Aaron Rodgers 2021.
That looks like MVP Aaron Rodgers.
The mobility is back. The rust has finally been shaken off. And most importantly: the self-confidence is back.
The #Jets With this version of Rodgers we have Super Bowl potential.

Breece Hall runs like a Renaissance painter. Braelon Allen runs like a wild boar on bath salts.
Nice contrast. #Jets
The 2-1 Jets stay at home next Sunday and play against the Denver Broncos at 1 p.m. ET.
