PENNSYLVANIA — If you’re looking to enjoy cuisine south of the border in Pennsylvania, the best dishes can be found at Blue Corn Mexican Restaurant and Bar in Philadelphia, according to a new list.

To put together a new column showcasing the best Mexican restaurants in every state, cooking website LoveFood.com looked at user reviews, awards and accolades to find out which establishments residents flock to for their fix of tacos, fajitas and guacamole. Staff members also took into account personal experiences when compiling the list.

According to the list, Blue Corn Mexican Restaurant and Bar is worth a visit in Pennsylvania.

The family-owned and operated restaurant was established in 2014 and aims to provide customers with “real Mexican food” with its authentic menus, the listing states.

“Highlights include the Huarache Azteca (cactus with mushrooms, cheese and pico de gallo) and Ceviche de Pulpo, an octopus ceviche with pico de gallo and avocado,” wrote the staff at LoveFood.com.

Blue Corn also receives high praise in online reviews, with the al pastor tacos, sea bass ceviche and gorditas frequently mentioned.

“I could give Blue Corn five stars just because it’s the first stop on our epic South Philly Taco Crawl! But basically I’m giving it five stars because it’s the perfect classic taqueria with tons of local neighborhood charm and a good bar to boot!” raved one Yelp reviewer.
