Advance ticket sales for the 25th San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Rodeo

Tickets are available for the upcoming San Bernardino County Sheriff’s PRCA Rodeo, which celebrates its 25th anniversary next month.

The rodeo, with proceeds benefiting a number of local charities, is scheduled to take place Sept. 27, 28 and 29 at 11755 Glen Helen Parkway in San Bernardino, adjacent to Glen Helen Regional Park, organizers said.

“This milestone year is a celebration of great American traditions, the preservation of our rich western heritage and a testament to our commitment to giving back to the community,” Sheriff Shannon Dicus said in a written statement. “Our new slogan, ‘Saddle Up,’ encapsulates the spirit and excitement of this momentous event.”

According to officials, the rodeo has raised more than $1 million in donations to local community organizations over the years.

“Proceeds from the event will continue to benefit the youth of our community with the ultimate goal of raising them to be responsible citizens,” the sheriff said. Recipients include the Children’s Fund, the Boy Scouts of America, the Golden Circle of Champions and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

The rodeo will feature top-notch cowboys and cowgirls certified by the Profession Rodeo Cowboys Association competing in seven events, organizers said. It will be a qualifying competition for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

Guests at the Friday night show on August 27 are encouraged to wear purple to raise awareness about domestic violence. Saturday’s show is dedicated to pink and breast cancer awareness, while Sunday’s focus is on red and blue in support of the military and public safety personnel.

General admission tickets range in price from $20 to $35, depending on the day. Children under six are $5. There is an additional $10 fee for parking.

More information, as well as the only authorized link to purchase tickets, can be found online at sheriffsrodeo.com. Officials warned the public about scammers posing as rodeo members and selling fake tickets.
