ASTANA – Almaty will host the KIOGE 2024 oil and gas conference and exhibition on September 25-27, bringing together representatives of state authorities, companies and experts. The event is expected to attract 380 participants from 19 countries.

According to the KIOGE press office, the program will highlight key projects in the oil and gas sector, including their current status, procurement plans and future development.

The first day will focus on discussions on investments and the implementation of energy projects at an international level, while the second day will be dedicated to IT development and innovation in the industry.

The plenary session will focus on the implementation of oil and gas projects within the framework of the concept of sustainable development, Kazakhstan’s strategy in the context of energy transition, risk reduction of investment projects and the development of local content.

The event also includes a special competition for startups in the field of industrial digitalization with the potential to start cooperation with leading companies. It is organized by the Autonomous Cluster Fund of the Park of Innovative Technologies. The competitions focus on artificial intelligence, cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data, 3D printing and other key areas of digital transformation.

“Relevant topics for dialogue between government and business, as well as a large exhibition complex, make KIOGE 2024 one of the most important oil and gas events in Central Asia. Thus, the conference will make an important contribution to the development of this strategic sector,” the statement said.
