“America’s Best Restaurants” films episodes about local restaurants

CHEYENNE, Wyoming (Wyoming News Now) – The guys from America’s Best Restaurants’ “ABR Roadshow” stopped in town this week to check out some of our local restaurants and get a little taste of what our community has to offer.

Throughout this week, several local restaurants were privileged to host Luis Rivera and Nick Mammone, members of the America’s Best Restaurants crew, to bring their presence in our community to the national spotlight.

Jay’s Prairie Rose, Hambones Pizza, 2 Doors Down, R&B Breakfast Club and Pour Decisions were asked to cook great food for the ABR team and talk about their restaurants.

After visiting these restaurants, Rivera said he enjoyed what our community served him.

“We’ve been to amazing restaurants, you know, from great breakfast to great lunch to great dinner, you name it, we’ve been pretty much everywhere, and if I had to summarize, they’re all local and people absolutely love them.”

Some of the dishes they received included a burrito and pie from Prairie Rose, pizza and pizza rolls from Hambones, “The Barnyard” from 2 Doors Down, “The Garcia” from R&B, and a Philly Cheesesteak from Pour Decisions.

Rivera also says that what impressed him most was how the restaurant owners go above and beyond to be part of our community.

“The owners are just connected to the community and try to provide this amazing service to everyone around them. And of course, their food is phenomenal.”

Rivera says, “People go to the people they know and trust.” And he believes restaurant owners are people our community trusts.

Rivera says his role as host of a platform that puts local places in the national spotlight is something very special to him.

“For me, this is very special because I want to give them the biggest digital megaphone they’ve ever seen in their life so they can impact people in their local community and tell them, ‘Hey, we exist and we’re great.'”

And Rivera’s final thought after his first visit to Wyoming is: “I love this state and will definitely come back.”

Premiere dates for all restaurant episodes will be announced at a later date on the America’s Best Restaurants Facebook page and episodes will be available on their website.
