America’s Best Restaurants visits four local restaurants

CHEYENNE, Wyoming (Wyoming News Now) – Three Cheyenne restaurants and one Laramie restaurant will be featured in America’s Best Restaurants’ “ABR Roadshow” Aug. 12-14.

The four restaurants highlighted are Hambone’s Pizza (Laramie) 2 Doors Down, R&B Breakfast Club and Pour Decisions.

Ron Gudenkauf, owner of Pour Decisions, says: “It’s really great. I’m excited about it, but I’m also a little nervous, but I think we’ll get through it. The people there have been great to work with and they’ve already given me a little bit of an introduction to what to expect and things like that. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

According to America’s Best Restaurants, “Restaurants featured on the ABR Roadshow are selected based on their customer reviews, menu items, social media presence and involvement in their community. They are found through customer nominations, internal reviews or through restaurant applications.”

“It’s always good to get your name out there and get recognized. We get people coming from Colorado and Nebraska. We’re lucky to have the VA here that brings these people. They hear about us and come by. We’re very grateful to the Cheyenne community and everyone who sees us, comes by and visits us,” says Valerie Martin, owner of the R&B Breakfast Club.

The ABR Roadshow team will be served popular dishes and also conduct in-depth interviews to talk about topics such as restaurant culture, history and just running a local business.”

Garrett Hammer, owner of Hambone’s Pizza, adds, “Hopefully people understand that this is exactly what it’s about, that these are families and other people that are toiling and working here locally, you know, because I don’t think they’re offering a McDonald’s or anything like that here, you know.”

Overall, all restaurants are simply happy about this opportunity.

“We’ve been here our whole lives. Jay (Jerry Inniss) and I were both born and raised here. We’ve always had a strong sense of community. It would be nice if we could share our story. We live in a small town. Maybe others can see that they can make it in a small town and build their own business from the ground up,” explains Sandy Inniss, owner of 2 Doors Down.

These restaurant-focused episodes will be “broadcast extensively on social media channels at a later date,” according to America’s Best Restaurants.
