While many LSU fans were either at Tiger Stadium or watching the Tigers game against Nicholls State from elsewhere, (autotag)Angel Reese(/autotag) announced some great news.
Reese announced on her social media that she will miss the remainder of the 2024 season due to a wrist injury. The injury occurred during the Chicago Sky’s 92-78 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday.
The 2024 Rookie of the Year candidate was having a great season before the injury, appearing in 34 games and starting 34 times and averaging a double-double as she averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game.
Currently, the Sky are 12-22 and fighting for the 8th spot in the WNBA playoffs. They have the tiebreaker against the Sparks and are hanging on to the last playoff spot by a thread. Our thoughts and prayers are with Reese, we hope she recovers soon and comes back stronger than ever.
What a year. I never thought the last basket of my rookie season would be a 3 but maybe that was God saying give them a taste of what they’ll see even more in year two lol🥲 Through it all I showed that I belong in this league even when no one else believed it.… pic.twitter.com/re1X85mWR2
