Annual Music in the Meadow to be held September 7 – eagletimes.com

The 20th annual Music in the Meadow benefit concert for Susan G. Komen will be held on Saturday, September 7, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Motel in the Meadow, Route 11 West in Chester, Vermont.

This year’s great entertainment will be provided by local musicians who donate their time and talent. Here is our lineup: James Joel, Better Days Band, John Sullivan, The Illusion, Bear Mountain Boys, Mark Shelton and Intercept.

2024 will see the return of the very popular silent auction with donations from many local businesses and residents. Hot food and cold beverages will be available for purchase as well as T’s Boba Tea Pop Up Shop with their custom soft drinks. This year we are planning a cornhole tournament and family game area to keep your kids busy with our Skee-Ball station, Frisbee golf and several other games. Raffle tickets will also be sold for the Grand Prize Queen Quilt, handmade by Sue Ashe and Sue’s Quilt Studio, with more items available the day of the concert. The drawing will be at the end of the concert, September 7th, around 7pm.

The last 19 concerts have raised over $115,000 to support Komen’s mission to “save lives by meeting the most pressing needs of our communities and investing in groundbreaking research to prevent and cure breast cancer.” All proceeds will go to the Komen Vermont MORE THAN PINK WALK 2024, which will take place on October 5 in Manchester, Vermont.
